CBRE APPOINTED FOR THE RE-LETTING OF DOMUS SHOPPING CENTER IN ROME
CBRE, the global real estate advisor, has been appointed by Pradera - one of the most important European funds focused on retail property and asset management - for the re-letting and commercial consultancy of the Domus shopping center in Rome.
Opened in October 2008, Domus covers a GLA (gross leasable area) of about 27,000 sqm. The Centre is located within the Romanina district , in a strategic location, close to the "Raccordo Anulare" ring road and the motorway A1 Milan - Rome. The catchment area consists of 1,500,000 inhabitants within 20-minutes drive.
CBRE, who has been manging the Centre since its opening, will actively support the Landlord on the re-letting side, changing the merchandise mix and introducing new brands. This actions will allow Domus to respond better to the needs of the visitors and to improve its positioning within an area where competition is very high, due to the presence of two other shopping centers, "La Romanina" and "Tor Vergata", in a very close proximity. Our goal is to differentiate Domus from its the main competitors, creating a place where the customers can have a better shopping experience in a shopping center that is friendly in terms of size and merchandise mix.
The commercial requalification will be based on some modifications to the existing layout, aimed at increasing the number of medium-sized areas (the current offer consists of Trony, OBI and Deichmann). The first and most important element in this direction will be the opening of a new Conad supermarket, which will take place within summer 2015.
